Dear Patient, Relative or Visitor,
Having entered our hospital as a patient with a medical problem or as a patient companion, you rightly expect the provision of expert, correct and conscientious medical and nursing care as well as access to pastoral counselling. The hospital endeavours to meet your needs and requirements as far as possible and has developed its own guidelines to inform its provision of care from the very outset:
- The commandment of Jesus to "love your neighbour as yourself" governs our relationships with each other and with patients. Naturally, the religious beliefs of others are also respected.
- The life and dignity of the individual are inviolable. Patients should experience safety, confidence and security during their treatment.
- High standards of medical care are demanded at the St. Joseph-Stift Hospital.
All those involved in your care – doctors, nurses, therapists, counsellors, psychologists, members of the Christlichen Krankenhaushilfe hospital visiting group and, not to forget, the often unseen technical staff, e.g. in the transportation service, kitchen and administration – make every effort in accordance with these guidelines to restore your physical and psychological health, or at least to improve it. When you leave the hospital, you should take away with you a positive memory of your time here. To familiarise you with the various departments, wards, services and geography of the hospital, we have included plans, information, consultation times, regulations and descriptions of the various areas on our Web pages. Of course, you can also ask our staff if anything appears unclear to you or you require additional information. We wish you a pleasant stay. On behalf of the hospital operator, management and the entire staff, we thank you for your interest in our institution.
