All standard X-ray and ultrasound investigations are performed at the Radiological Institute of the St. Joseph-Stift Hospital. The images are produced on a digital image-processing system and then saved to a digital storage medium on a data network (PACS). This gives advantages over former conventional imaging technology, e.g. fewer lighting problems, more environmentally friendly and more rapid availability of image documents.
